Jerusalem & Bethlehem Tour

General Information About Jerusalem tours.

This Jerusalem and Bethlehem tour takes you to some of the holiest and most fascinating sites in both the Old City of Jerusalem and Bethlehem. The tour includes the major Christian holy sites in both cities.

Day 01

After pick up at major hotels in Tel Aviv and Jerusalem our day begins with a Drive to the Mount of Olives for a wonderful view of Jerusalem.
Then go to the Pater Noster with the Lord’s Prayer in different languages.
From the Mount of Olives the traditional Palm Sunday route takes you to the foot of the hill and sees the Garden of Gethsemane with its ancient olive trees.
Enter the Old City through the Dung gate to visit the Wailing (or western) Wall and view the Haram Al Sharif with the Al-Aqsa Mosque and the Dome of the Rock.
Walk the Via Dolorosa with its Stations of the Cross till you arrive at the Church of the Holy Sepulchre, where Jesus was crucified and buried, and then rose again.
Leave the city through the bazaars to the west by Jaffa Gate.
Ask your driver/guide about times and places for local Mass.
Overnight at Christian hospice in Jerusalem.​

Day 02

Depart from your hotel to Bethlehem, crossing into the West Bank and stopping at the Separation Wall.
Then into Bethlehem to see the Church of Nativity.
Onto the Shepherd’s Fields in Beit Sahour.
Visit the picturesque village of Ein Karem, birthplace of John the Baptist.
Then drive through the New City of Jerusalem and visit the various landmarks.
Overnight in Jerusalem.

Day 03

Begin the day by travelling through the new part of the city, passing the Knesset and the Hebrew University, to the Israel Museum to see the Shrine of the Book where the Dead Sea Scrolls are kept.
Continue South along the Dead Sea and visit the Baptism site, where Christ was baptised.
Continue past Qumran where the Dead Sea Scrolls were found.
Visit Masada, the desert fort and site of the last stand of the Jews against the Romans.
